Feedback Loops

There are several places where feedback loops are a concern:

 1. As ocean temperatures rise, ice in polar regions melts. This lowers the albedo or ability of the surface to relect sunlight, further boosting temperatures.

 2. More frequent and larger wildfires add both more heat and more CO2.

 3. Large wildfires appear to also disrupt climate in ways that may even impact ocean currents and normal heat transfer.

 4. As temperatures continue to rise, the potential for massive methane deposits to erupt from tundra or under-ocean deposits increases.
